Claphams Joinery Workshop is affiliated with Clapham builders but has developed a proud history in its own right. From the original workshop founded in 1944 to the new premises still within the town.
You will enjoy a stay in one of our six en-suite bedrooms with a home from home spacious feel, each thoughtfully appointed to ensure maximum comfort. Your room includes a flat-screen TV a comfortable space to relax after a day of hiking. Or step away from the main communal areas for some peace and quiet.
The Waltzing Weasel's location in Birch Vale is a walker's and cyclist's dream, placing you on the very edge of the Dark Peak, with easy access to incredible trails and quaint villages.
We have previously ran the Waltzing Weasel as a bed and breakfast but in November 2025 a new adventure began. We have a newly refurbished kitchen and large sitting area and now rent the property as a whole house. We are and will continue to be a family run business which means we care and try to deliver high cleaning standards and the home from home feel everyone deserves on your break away.

The Waltzing Weasel is designed for large groups seeking comfort, space, and adventure.

* The Triple: One Double Bed and one Single Bed with en-suite.
* The Double: Double Bed with en-suite.

* Modern Kitchen: Includes a washing machine, dishwasher, and all necessary cookware and crockery.

With two separate classes for toddlers up to 4 years old, you can join us for one of the most exciting toddler classes in town.
We cover it all! Singing and dancing, rhythm and music, letters and numbers, new weekly themes with sensory activities and dress up and every session is finished with toddler zen under a bespoke parachute.
Parents, carers, grandparents, childminders are all welcome to bring children along to these classes.
Our Creative Learners class (10-10:45am) is for toddlers up to 2 years and Social Superstars (11:05-11:50am) for 2 to 4 year olds. We run every THURSDAY at Inside Out Day Nursery according to local schools term times.
