Walk 2: New Mills – Newtown Marina – Swing Bridge – Goytside – The Torrs
This 2.25-mile walk offers sweeping views of Kinder Scout from the canal towpath alongside rich industrial history. Generally easy to navigate over level gravel paths, the route includes two steep flights of steps, a short section across open fields, and an awkward squeeze stile. Walkers will pass the impressive 17-arch railway viaduct built in 1902 and explore scenic stretches near Goytside Farm and the Millennium Walkway.
