Rowarth is a hamlet about 2.5 miles (4 km) north of New Mills and sits on the edge of the Peak District within the parish boundary of New Mills.
Friends of Rowarth is a community group bringing together the people of Rowarth with the aim of protecting, caring for and improving the beautiful place in which they live. The group works together not only for residents, but also for visitors and for generations to come.Â
Friends of Rowarth has raised money to buy two defibrillators for the village, one which is located in Little Mill Inn. Future projects include improvement of the local play area through the installation of a local village notice board and a bench for people to sit and enjoy the views.Â
