I am a small independent leather bag maker based in New Mills. At Posh Purse you will find an extensive range of British made leather bags to suit your every need. All my leather bags, accessories and beaded purses are designed and handmade by me.
My leather bags are inspired by the qualities, colours and textures of the individual pieces of leather I buy. Fashion trends and colours are incorporated into my ideas, with a selection of designs which includes clutch bags, across body bags, shoulder bags, satchels and small to large totes. I use the traditional technique of hand saddle stitching each bag for the finish and reliability that only hand stitching can achieve.
My bags are for people who want to be an individual and don’t need to follow the crowd.

The Gallery is an Independent Artist Cooperative selling contemporary art and craft made in the High Peak to suit all budgets. A lovely open space across two floors, displaying original art, contemporary jewellery, ceramics, fused glass, textiles, wood, cards and gifts. The artists and makers staff the gallery themselves, hang all the artwork and change the work on view every few weeks to fit the seasons.
The Gallery is a Covid Secure space, with strict hygiene and social distancing measures in place. Sandwiched between an excellent bookshop and sewing shop in the cultural quarter of New Mills, we are always happy to welcome new browsers and visitors to our bright and colourful Gallery.

We hire our barns and/or fields out for weddings and other events. Also small music festivals with camping option considered.
Weddings and events can be held from late May till October with an option of two barns from late May till late June.
We have contacts for the hire of most things including table, chair, heaters, entertainment, toilets, caterers, bar, decorators, lighting and more.
Parking and camping available, tractor ride for bride and groom for fun and different arrival, photo opportunities are great with many beautiful views.
The only thing we cant help with is the weather!!
Spring Bank Arts Centre operates for all the community in New Mills. In an exquisite Grade 2 listed former church, next to the landmark Almshouses, the property has been restored and refurbished to the highest standard. There is now a generous performance space, a meeting room, kitchen area plus a pretty pollinator garden designed and managed by local volunteers. All parts of the venue are available to hire. Run by volunteers the Centre is a busy place seven days a week. There are regular concerts, theatre productions, film shows, exhibitions of art and of local heritage. It is home to an extensive range of activities including Science Club, Yoga, creative arts workshops, Salsa Dance and groups for French, Photography, Philosophy, and Tai Chi.
Visitors are more than welcome to call in and look round the stunning interior either during office hours or by appointment for an out-of-hours tour.
