With Christmas round the corner, Made in New Mills is a great place to find a unique, handcrafted gift for someone special, made by an artist or crafter in New Mills. The craft fair takes place at the Providence URC Church on Mellor Road on Saturday 25 November from 10 am to 4 pm.

Made in New Mills hosts a collection of work for sale by local artists and crafters, including jewellery, photography, textiles, paintings, cards, pottery and glass, and jam!

You will find unique, hand crafted items for sale to suit every price bracket: ideal for gifts or treating yourself! Get ahead with your Christmas shopping and support local artists and makers in the process.

The popular café is back, selling hot drinks, soup, sandwiches and delicious cakes. Take a break from browsing the stalls and enjoy refreshments in the seating area of this comfortable venue.

Chloe Bell Illustration
Chloe is a New Mills based artist, creating work both traditionally, using watercolour and acrylic paints, and digitally. She creates a range of original paintings, prints and gift ware. Her work is inspired by the natural world around her, including animals, plants, and the great outdoors. She loves what she does and finds her walks in the hills of New Mills to be a wonderful place of inspiration.

Forever Advents
Hand crafted wooden advent boxes to start your family countdown to Christmas. Alison started making theses for her grandchildren so that they could have a uniquely crafted personal keepsake . These are now a tradition that come out year on year and are filled with little daily treats to excite them on the countdown to Christmas Day. They make a fantastic family gift.

Jayne makes bags out of upcycled jeans. Bring a bit of bling into your life!

Marie makes some really unusual handmade resin gifts and Christmas decorations.

Alison Payne
Alison’s hand-crafted ceramics are made in her tiny basement in New Mills. Each piece is unique and beautifully finished.

Painted Pebbles
Helen’s hand painted rocks are fun for decorating your home or garden. Helen selects rocks or pebbles which are hand painted and finished off with resin.

Springbank Stitches
Ann at Springbank Stitches creates handmade embroideries,  woven and felted items inspired by the Derbyshire countryside. They include Christmas decorations, cards, mounted pictures that are easy to post and framed items for your wall. Check out the woolly sheep and highland cattle – always a favourite. Commissions are taken.

Lisa Weatherhead
Lisa makes a variety of fabric items including quilts, bags and cushions.
