As part of New Mills celebration of the opening of New Mills Central station on the Hope Valley line (Manchester to Sheffield) 150 years ago there will be a ‘retro train’ heading up along the Cumbrian coastline on 11 July.
The train will have several classes with everything from fine dining through to bring your own picnic and entertainment en route and some free time to explore the City of Carlisle.
The exact timing and itinerary are being fine tuned in the next few days but the route will be something like : New Mills Central, Marple, Stalybridge, Huddersfield. Sowerby Bridge, Preston and then around the stunning Cumbrian coastline into Carlisle.
As soon as booking forms are printed we will get them into all the local cafes, library and of course train stations.
