Friends of Rowarth

For those of you that don’t know Rowarth is a hamlet about 2.5 miles (4 km) north of New Mills and sits on the edge of the Peak District within the parish boundary of New Mills.

Friends of Rowarth are a community group bringing together the people of Rowarth with the aim of improving their beautiful place in which they live.  They aim to work together in order to protect, care for and improve their beautiful village, not only for those that live there, but for visitors and for generations to come.

The funding Friends of Rowarth have raised so far has bought two defibrillators for the village.  Future planned projects include improvement of their local play area through the installation of a local village notice board and a bench for people to sit and enjoy the views.

Visit New Mills were happy to help raise funds from a recent Quizit to help the group and look forward to working with them in the future.

  1. Hi, can I copy text and pics in your article about Rowarth, to post on the little mill page, but also leave your link in place? I want to say that we will have one of the defibs at the pub.
    Thanks
