SW provided up to date spreadsheets of carnival income from programme, stalls & hot food
Parade
STW to update at next meeting.
Caroline & Julian Owen have volunteered to help manage the start of the parade, LA has also offered to help at the start of the parade.
TZ to marshal the parade when it arrives back at the recreation ground as last year there was a bottleneck on the main road, front floats need to be told to move further down to unload
Programme
Daphne submitted an update of the adverts so far after the meeting.
STW said he would help W/C 24th March (later in the week)
SW has invoiced all submitted adverts so far

Road Closures
JR has submitted road closures to HPBC
Field
Toilets, first aid, dinosaur, bar and fairground booked.
Billerettes are unable to attend this year
JF to book entertainment for arena and send out details of timings etc
JF to ask Amy and Jill to manage arena on carnival day
Barlow Red Barrows will be attending this year and will do the parade and arena, they need 20 metre square arena.
TZ to purchase more rope.
Stalls and hot food booking in, SW has invoiced all bookings so far
JF to complete HPBC street trading consent list of traders, field plan and arrange TEN for the bar
JR suggested a VNM stall selling VNM merchandise and hosting any local makers on the stall for a percentage of their sales. It is unclear who could manage this at the moment.
JF to order waste bins from HPBC
JF to purchase toilet rolls for portable toilets
Hayley has confirmed royalty will be attending as in previous years.
STW to arrange to borrow some chairs and tables as in previous years
Competitions
HE will be organising the competitions and prizes.
Update from HE as follows:
“Zena has designed a page for the programme about the competitions so it can be used in promotions and also on social media.
Same prizes and competitions as last year will be going in the programme.
Judging of the shops etc will be on Thursday evening before the carnival, everything else on the day. As in recent years the judging of everything except fancy dress by the volunteer centre. Judging of fancy dress on the field. I will ask the volunteer centre if that’s ok and find judges nearer the time. SW told me the certificates will be printed so I am assuming I don’t have to do anything else for those”
