Who turned the lights out ?

eclipse1In just over 3 weeks time on Friday 20th March 2015 from 8:38am to 10:47am, a total solar eclipse will occur across the far northern regions of Europe especially the UK.

In New Mills over 90% of the Suns surface will be blocked out by the moon casting the morning daylight into evening dusk.

The eclipse’s longest duration will be 2 minutes and 46 seconds off the northern coast of the Faroe Islands and will be the last total solar eclipse in Europe for over a decade.

Extreme caution should be taken when attempting to look at the sun.

You should never under any circumstances look directly at the sun without the appropriate protective eye wear.
