Hosted by Amber Pixie Crafts, New Mills Craft Market will be held on Saturday 10th July between 10am-4pm at St. George’s Parish Hall, New Mills, SK22 4NP.
It will be the first Craft Market of the year to run in New Mills, and will hopefully be a regular event that will take place on the first Saturday of each month following the first event in July.
Lucy Godden-Payne is the business owner of Amber Pixie Crafts, and the event organiser behind New Mills Market. Her idea behind running a regular Craft Market in New Mills is to showcase the talents of local crafty folk, and to give the community something to look forward to each month.
July’s Craft Market will feature gorgeous handmade items from local stall holders such as: Pugs & Petals, who specialise in setting beautiful dried flowers in resin and making them in to stunning items such as bookmarks, keyrings, coasters and jewellery, OhFloss- a one woman sock making business making luxurious lambswool socks on an antique circular knitting machine, Bath Bombilicious with Toni who specialises in making handmade , hand painted vegan bath bombs and shower products, Linda’s Art Glass– Linda takes glass and turns it in to something completely special and unique, from stained glass portrait versions of pets to stunning sun-catchers, Occasions Bunting by Maggie , a very talented lady who makes double sided fabric for decorating the home or for special occasions, Maggie also makes craft bags, cosmetic bags, tote bags, the list goes on! PuddlesharkDesign-an illustrator, animator and 3D artist based in High Peak, her items include eye catching t-shirts, bags and art pieces, Marty Makes/Hi Kawaii,- a creative mother and daughter team making cards and sterling silver jewellery as well as taking inspiration from the Japanese culture and creating ,fun, colourful jewellery for the Hi Kawaii range ,H Made-upcycled hand crafted gifts and accessories, all made with a conscious effort towards sustainability, SPBOUQUETS-beautiful wedding bouquets, hanging baskets and flowers, Lenny’s Gifts and Treats-as the name suggests, the lady behind the business name makes chocolate and sweet bouquets, as well as nappy cakes and towel cakes, Pipsy Puffin Art-an artist and illustrator, who creates black and white illustrations for greetings and notebooks, as well as mindfulness inspired postcards and notepads, Lucy Bradley-a lady who creates peg picture frames, decorative glass jars and other gifts, Susie Sews-making hand sewn aprons, bunting and embroidered bags, and of course, last but by no means least-Amber Pixie Crafts! Amber Pixie Crafts specialises in mainly paper based crafts such greeting cards, bookmarks and bunting, as well as decorative notebooks and items for the home.
