Mission Impossible comes to town!

After the box office success of last years Mission Impossible 6, filmed in part on locations in the High Peak the makers (Paramount) have decided the next blockbuster will again be filmed in part locally with production teams seen last week at Big Stone and in the Torrs Riverside Park below Union Road bridge.

We were fortunate enough yesterday to track down location director Lou Flirpa who told us, “The scenery and lighting in the High Peak is amazing, the unspoiled rugged beauty lends itself to great cinematography and we need that in Mission Impossible”.

Lou went on to say that they will be casting later in the year for local actors and actresses to be in the film but he wouldn’t give too much away about the roles or story line (we did try!) – anyone interested should contact him via email (louflirpa@paramount.com)
