New Mills Heritage Centre – new exhibition
Commemorate the ending of World War 1 with a visit to a new exhibition at the New Mills Heritage and Information Centre – “The War that Changed our World”- a thought provoking look at the world the Great War left behind.
The exhibition opens on 30th October. Entry is free. There is a new display of the permanent collection of WW1 artefacts, including the Tor Top trench sign from Hill 62.
Free activities for children include making a 1918 shopping list or the chance to illustrate an article from the High Peak Reporter of that time. New Mills was a lively place then as now!
