Sunday is run day for Felicity

As well as the elite marathon around St James Park in London we also have a marathon taking place in New Mills on Sunday.

New Miller Felicity Wicks had a charity place in April with Diabetes UK, and in common with all amateur entrants has been invited to run the October London marathon ‘virtually’ at home. It’s her first marathon, so she would love some New Mills crowd support on the day.

She would also really appreciate any donations to her chosen charity, Diabetes UK, chosen as her dad has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for 21 years: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Felicity-Wicks6
Give her a wave if you see her running next Sunday. She is setting off at 10am from the gate onto the Sett Valley Trail from St George’s Road, so give her a wave if you see her running on a route that will take in Chinley, Hayfield, Mousley Bottom and a few places in between! She would particularly appreciate support for the final 4.2 miles, between roughly 2 and 3pm, which will be the zig zag path along the Sett Valley Trail to Bluebell Wood (towards Hayfield) and back.

You can track her in real time by downloading the official app: Search ‘London Marathon 2020’ on Apple Store or Google Play. Sign in as a supporter and enter her number, 36850
