ST MARY’S ROAD, NEW MILLS

WHEN: 02 November 2015 to 06 November 2015
WHERE: Close St Mary’s Road, New Mills from its junction with Hague Bar Road to its junction with Hall Street.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.

MARSH LANE / GOW HOLE / STATION ROAD FURNESS VALE

WHEN: 26 October 2015 to 30 October 2015
WHERE: Close Marsh Lane / Gow Hole / Station Road, Furness Vale from the junction of Station Road and Calico Lane to the junction of Marsh Lane and the access road for Marsh Lane Trading Estate.
REASON: To facilitate full road reinstatement following sewer works.
SITCH LANE, BIRCH VALE

WHEN: 12 October 2015
WHERE: Close Sitch Lane, Birch Vale from its junction with Sycamore Road to its junction with Swallow House Lane.
REASON: To facilitate retaining wall repairs.

A624 GLOSSOP ROAD, LITTLE HAYFIELD

WHEN: 27 September 2015
WHERE: Close A624 Glossop Road, Little Hayfield from its junction with Slack Lane to its junction with Market Street, Hayfield.
REASON: To facilitate replacement of existing lead service pipe.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Will be via A624 (from point of closure) – A6015 – A6 – A627 – A626 – A57 – A6016 – A624 (from point of closure) & vice versa. (Revised until after the show)

A6015, ALBION ROAD, NEW MILLS

WHEN: 05 October 2015 to 16 October 2015
Between 1800hrs and 2300hrs each evening
WHERE: Close A6015 Albion Road, New Mills from its junction with Woodside Street to its junction with the B6101 Union Road.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Will be via A6101 (to Marple) – Stockport Road – Hibbert Lane – Upper Hibbert Lane – Windlehurst Road – A6 – A6015 (to point of closure) and Vice Versa

ASPENSHAW ROAD, BIRCH VALE

WHEN: 20 September 2015
WHERE: Close Aspenshaw Road, Birch Vale from its junction with Thornsett to its junction with Briargrove Road.
REASON: To facilitate new connection to lamp column.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Will be via Thornsett – Bridge Street – Mellor Road – Briargrove Road and Vice Versa

HIGHGATE ROAD, HAYFIELD – THIS has now been Cancelled
WHEN: 17 September 2015 to 18 September 2015
WHERE: Close Highgate Road, Hayfield from a point 200 metres southeast of its junction with Valley Road for a distance of 100 metres in a south easterly direction.
REASON: To facilitate renewal of communication pipe. (Cancelled)

  1. I do hope the work on Marsh lane scheduled for October is full re-surfacing and re-cambering. Following the roadworks undertaken by united utilities the road repairs have left the road in terrible condition – bumpy, with adverse cambers and is somewhat dangerous as cars are suddenly “bounced” towards oncoming traffic….I do hope DCC work with UU to sort this out properly and not just put paint on the surface
