New Mills Jumble Trail 2018
September 16 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Join us for the very first New Mills Jumble Trail – a jumble sale held on the streets of New Mills! Sign up, set up a stall outside your house and earn some cash from your old things. Or get out with the family, meet the neighbours and grab yourself a bargain.
HOW IT WORKS
A jumble trail is just like a car boot sale but on your street. If you want to set up your own stall for the day and make some money from your old things, artistic creations or home baking, simply head to https://newmillsjumbletrail2018.eventbrite.co.uk to buy an official pitch for just £5. Your stall will be added to the official New Mills Jumble Trail map that allows people to plan their route on the day of the jumble trail and find out about the stalls and the kinds of things on sale.
It costs just £5 to hold your own stall – this pays for promotional costs like the printing of posters, flyers and maps, as well as transaction fees. All profits will be donated to New Mills Festival.
We’ll need all stall-holders to help promote the event, spreading the word online with friends and family online and helping to distribute posters and flyers.
On the day, a New Mills Jumble Trail map will be made available both online and as a printed version, helping visitors and members of the community to find all the stalls.
We want you to pack your stall with bric-a-brac, toys and clothes. But local art, vintage clothes and homemade cakes are all perfect for a jumble trail too!
Local businesses and charities are welcome to sign-up – is there a New Mills Jumble Trail special you can offer to visitors, or a twist on your normal services that promotes the community ethos of the day?
THE SERIOUS STUFF
All stall holders must purchase an official New Mills Jumble Trail pitch via our Eventbrite page, and all stalls must be placed on private premises. Failure to do either could be considered illegal street trading or highway obstruction.
All stallholders must act in full accordance with the law in terms of the legality and safety of the items they sell. New Mills Jumble Trail assumes no responsibility for the actions of individual stall holders.
If you sell homemade food, make sure that you have prepared your food to the appropriate hygiene standards. For more info, see http://bit.ly/2CFZyhM
