The Waltzing Weasel has had new owners since May 2013. The bedrooms have gone through a refurbishment within the last few years and we now run as a bed and breakfast. The accommodation is a traditional B&B which dates back nearly 400 years and is ideally located in the walking country of the High Peak in the Peak District. Situated along side of the Sett Valley Trail, views of Kinder Scout and surrounding hills and moors can be enjoyed. The Waltzing Weasel makes an ideal venue for families, visitors, walkers, cyclist or stressed business people who want to chill and be pampered.
Guests can relax in one of the eight luxurious bedrooms with en-suite. The Grande Bedroom (Room 6) has a beautiful 300-year-old Jacobean half tester bed and leather settee for that added comfort. All rooms and public areas have free WiFi access.
The Waltzing Weasel offers breakfast in one of the best rooms in the house, overlooking views of Kinder Scout. There is a courtyard and a pleasant garden where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful setting. The Waltzing Weasel’s aim is to provide a civilised retreat for those looking for a welcome break.
We are located only forty minutes away from Manchester and its international airport, and are in easy reach of Sheffield, Stockport, Buxton and Glossop. Those who enjoy walking or cycling or just relaxing in the countryside will be delighted with the location of the Waltzing Weasel.
Some £450,000 has been spent by Pridewater Estates Ltd bringing a sadly neglected New Mills Marina on the Peak Forest Canal into the 21st Century.
With new berths for our 38 moorers and their colourful narrowboats and cruisers, stable blocks from the 1830’s transformed into apartments, toilets, showers, a marina office, landscaped grounds, a secure perimeter, free Wi – Fi and much more.
The people of New Mills can once again be proud of their historic marina.
Visitors to the two holiday apartments will be delighted at the quality of everything they see inside and out. Beautifully furnished and equipped, with wonderful views across the High Peaks, those coming from out of town will be perfectly placed to enjoy everything the town and surrounding area has to offer.
With accommodation for up to four people in the Hay Barn and up to ten people in the Bike Shed, the New Mills Marina apartments offer great opportunities for family holidays or a break for couples looking for a quiet few days.
Pop round to the marina any day except Tuesdays between 9.00am and 6.00pm and Pete and Heather will be happy to show you around.
