It’s our 30th Birthday Bash Come and join us for a full day of activities Saturday 6th April 10.45 to 4pm at Rock Mill Lane, New Mills SK22 3BN
All day The steam roller will be stationed on Rock Mill Lane. In the Centre will be two exhibitions – a “Memory Lane Photographic Display” and a first gifts exhibition of Heritage Objects donated to the Centre, including everyday objects and some curiosities
10.45 – 11.30 New Mills Brass Band will play
11.30 – 11.45 Chapel-en-le Frith Morris will dance
12.00 – 12.15 Chapel-en-le-Frith Morris will give a second performance
13.00 – 13.30 Bigbubbleman, Ian Russell, will be blowing bubbles
13.30 – 14.00 Birthday greetings from founder and first curator Dr. Derek Brumhead and from our special guest former Environment Correspondent on BBC North West Tonight, Mr Colin Sykes, who will cut the cake
14.00 – 15.00 Musical Moments performed by our guests Colin & Janette Sykes
15.00 onwards Walkers are Welcome will lead a short walk into the Torrs to visit the heritage sites and ‘Archie’
15.00 onwards Bigbubbleman , Ian Russell, will resume bubbling
